By taking home the Asia Cup for the eighth time, Indian Cricket Team or popularly known as Team India has just given their supporters something to celebrate about! The final game was a dream match for Team India just ahead of the World Cup tournament. This would certainly give huge confidence to team India.
With the exception of that one blip against Bangladesh, they were unstoppable throughout the competition when Rohit Sharma served as captain.
Mohammed Siraj, one of India’s quick bowlers, stole the show in the decisive match. He was rightfully voted Player of the Match after taking an amazing six wickets. However, our spin sensation Kuldeep Yadav was also on fire. Kuldeep Yadav bagged the Player of the Series award after stunning performance in the Asia cup tournament.
The BCCI chief selector, Ajit Agarkar, couldn’t stop praising Kuldeep. He termed him our “trump card” for his outstanding abilities. It is obvious that the Indian team’s confidence in Kuldeep paid off handsomely.
As India prepares for the 2023 World Cup, our attention is now turned to the forthcoming ODIs against Australia. For the first two games, some of our top players, including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, are receiving some well-deserved rest.
